The New England Fertilizer Co. Facility abutting our vessel had an emergency release of pelletized fertilizer from their stacks. The material discharged onto the port side of Salem's main deck, superstructure and mooring barges. Due to the ongoing cleanup and concern for the safety of our visitors, the USS Salem & US Naval Shipbuilding Museum will be closed to the public this weekend. We have reached out to advance ticket sales to rebook/refund.

Thank you for your understanding,
